[glow=green,2,300]She wolf[/glow]
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Description:[/glow]
[glow=green,2,300]Kaede isn't a very large wolf. Shes a golden brown color mixed with darker and lighter shades. Her tail is long and fluffy her eyes a deep serious golden color. The higher up you go along her pelt the darker her fur is, the lower down the lighter it gets until it becomes almost completely white. Because of the way her fur is shaded if Kaede lies still in a forest filled with the light of a evening sun, she is almost invisible.[/glow]
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Personality:[/glow]
[glow=green,2,300] In formal occasions such as pack meetings, Gatherings, or a dispute with another Pack member she is a serious cunning wolf. But around her fellow pack members she's more open and friendly. She has never whelped her own cubs but she adores them. For her pack and their members she'll willingly give her life to save. Even for the cubs of other packs. But that only extends to cubs of other packs. Kaede respects other wolve's opinions but she will only accept orders from her leader.[/glow]

Kaede watched with a smile as the tiny pups played outside the whelping den. This was their first time outside and Kaze, the mother, had entrusted her cubs to Kaede. They were very close.
"Hey Nora! Don't go to faraway from the clearing." warned Kaede. Nora turned around and flashed a bright smile,
"Don't worry Kaede! I'll stay close." Kaede chuckled in amusement. Out of her other 3 brothers and one sister Nora was the most spirited of them all.
Kaede lay her golden head on her paws and watched the remaining pups frolick around in the lazy sun. Before she knew it...the heaviness of her eyelids, and the lazy summer air, had taken the better than her.
"Kaede!!!" yelled a small voice loud in the evening cool air. Kaede jumped up. All the pups had taken a nap next to her...all of except Nora. Kaede scrambled down the rocky slope the den was placed on. She followed Nora's scent and wails. She arrived at a small clearance in the forest. What she saw froze her blood. Nora was struggling with a large great gray owl. The left side of her face was completely covered in blood. Her leg and side were slashed beyond recognition as the owl trried to lift her into the air. Nora tried bravely to remain on the ground.
Kaede rushed forward. She lunged with her lethal jaws towards the owl. The owl fluttered away but soon returned. It grabbed hold of Nora with it's powerful talons, and tugged. Kaede couldn't hold on to Nora without biting her. And she had too loose a hold on Nora's scruff.
Right before the owl gave it's final tug Kaede found Nora's soft gray eyes on her own deep golden ones.
"Kaede." and she was gone. Not uttering one more cry.
Kaede had worn her paws down running blindly after the trail of the great gray. But no wolf could, in a forest or over a river, keep up with a great gray as strong as that one. When she returned leaving bloody footprints on the forest floor she saw Kaze with the other pups. Kazes brown eyes were wide and scared. She whispered one word,
"N-nora?" she asked with desperate...yet vain hope in her voice. Kaede hung her head,
"I chased after the owl so long. I couldn;t keep up with it. But after following the faint scent I found it's nest."
"You found Nora?!" exclaimed Kaze that same hope flaring in her eyes. One look at Kaede told her all she needed to know."
"Nora was...gone. I didn't kill the owl...because it had chicks..." murmered Kaede a dull light in her eyes. Kaze ushered her pups back into the den,
"I know you tried your best Kaede...thank you." Kaede closed her eyes...Nora's last words echoing in her mind. Was it an accusation? Or forgiveness?
